Loud Dreaming in a Quiet Room is Betsy Wheeler’s first collection of poems, published by The National Poetry Review Press. The cover art is a painting by Melinda Stickney-Gibson, titled Buddah Pup.

Betsy completed her MFA in poetry at The Ohio State University. From 2005-2007 she held the Stadler Fellowship at Bucknell University. Her poems have appeared in Bat City Review, The Journal, Pebble Lake Review, Forklift Ohio, Octopus, and elsewhere. Her chapbook, Start Here, was published in 2007 by Small Anchor Press. She is Managing Director of the Juniper Summer Writing Institute at U-Mass Amherst and is editor of Pilot Books—a publisher of limited-edition poetry chapbooks. She lives in Northampton, Massachusetts, with her partner Meghan.
